Simplify every step of your dilution workflow
The Dilucup® System by LabRobot Products AB is a semi-automated serial dilution system designed specifically for microbiology laboratories. It uses sterile, ready-to-use dilution cups prefilled with 9 mL of diluent, together with dedicated shakers, to perform accurate decimal 1:10 dilutions.
Traditional dilution workflows often involve preparing diluents, filling tubes, sterilizing, performing quality control, cleaning, calibrating, and vortexing; all of which are time-consuming manual steps. By replacing conventional dilution tubes and vortex mixers, the Dilucup® System helps microbiology laboratories simplify their workflow, reduce hands-on time, and perform decimal dilutions more quickly, consistently, and ergonomically.
How does it work?
- Open the number of Dilucups you need and pipette 1 mL of the sample into the first cup.
- Activate the shaking with the optical sensor or the pedal to create a vortex inside the cup.
- Transfer 1 mL from the first Dilucup® to the next one and continue until the desired number of dilutions is reached.
- Plate and incubate 1 mL to enumerate the microorganisms.
