LabRobot Products AB started 1986 by developing laboratory robotic systems. In 1991, the company changed its focus from robotic systems to smaller laboratory instruments such as peristaltic pumps, filling systems and tube openers.
The Dilucup system was introduced in Sweden in 2001 and since its launch, sales of Dilucup have continuously expanded in firstly Europe, and more recently in North America. Today, about 6 million Dilucup units are sold every year in more than 25 countries through a network of independent distributors.
From July 2007 to March 2016, LabRobot Products AB has been a part of the Addtech Life Science division of the Addtech AB group. On March 16, 2016, this division, renamed AddLife, became an independent group listed on Nasdaq Stockholm. Visit AddLife website.
LabRobot Products AB is located in the city of Stenungsund, 45 km north of Gothenburg, on the Swedish west coast. The office is within 45-minute drive from Gothenburg Landvetter International Airport.
The production, historically performed manually in a separate factory in the south of Gothenburg, was transferred to Stenungsund in the beginning of 2009. The new Dilucup, presented in blisters of seven rows of Dilucups instead of single strips initially, is produced there on an automated production line. The dedicated shakers (Dilushaker) are also assembled in Stenungsund.
