The first version of Dilushaker was just a humble laboratory shaker.
It was launched in 2001 and lacked sensors, so it could only be activated with the foot pedal. The only parameter that could be changed was the shaking time, which was limited to either 2 seconds or permanent.

In 2003, a second version was launched with a substantial improvement: a front optical sensor to activate the shaking. However, with this instrument, it was easy to make mistakes. Since the user had several cups open at once and there was no light indicating where to dilute, it was easy to accidentally dilute the same sample twice or skip a Dilucup®, for instance.

Thus, the need arose for users to have an indication of which cup they were diluting in. This is why, after five years, in 2008, a third version was launched. Dilushaker III revolutionized the market with a ramp of 3 or 6 LED lights (depending on the model) that indicated which Dilucup® to dilute. It had 3 different shaking speeds, could shake from 1 to 30 seconds and manage 1 to 12 dilutions. The light ramp indicated which column the Dilucup® to be diluted was in, and it could be programmed to work from left to right or vice versa.

Dilushaker III was a great success, which explains why it is still on sale today.

If you noticed in the video, Dilucup® has also evolved into what is now Dilucup® Elegance, but that is another story we will tell another day.

After 12 years more of innovation, the Dilugent® Shaker was launched. Unlike the previous versions, this instrument indicates you exactly where you are in the serial dilution process and has a lot of smart features that make it a sophisticated shaker.
